Shipping

Our aim is for all products to leave our premises within 1 - 5 days of payment clearing into our account. This time frame depends on whether you have ordered a personalised product or not.

Delivery times
We use either NZ Post Track and Trace system or Fastways couriers and package in bubble wrap or rigid cardboard (depending on product purchased). The items are then packed into either a plastic courier satchel or a solid outer cardboard box. We pack Monday to Friday. Most packages to urban areas are delivered on an overnight service. However please allow 2 - 3 days for delivery as this covers busier times in our dispatch area. Rural delivery services take a day or so longer - please allow 3 - 4 days. Please allow an extra 1 -2 days for delivery after a public holiday, as there is quite often a backlog with both Pocotots orders as well as the shipping companies. All items sent via Fastways will need to be signed for upon delivery unless stated. That means if you are not home the courier will leave a calling card in which you will need to give the courier company a call (all details are on the calling card) and arrange a suitable time for a re-delivery.

Shipping Charges
Our shipping charges are at the cost we are charged by our shipping companies, or in many cases, less than what we are charged. Courier companies charge by volumetric weight, so light but large packages are expensive to ship compared to small heavy ones. The calculated shipping cost that appears in your checkout total also includes packaging to ensure your product is delivered to you in pristine condition.

All our products fall into 3 standard shipping rates - $7.50, $8.50 or $9.50 - depending on the size.

Rural Delivery
If you are Rural Delivery there is no additional charge. All Rural Delivery parcels are sent via NZ Post Track & Trace as this is the most cost effective delivery method for rural areas. There is no speed / time benefit to send via a courier as the courier companies pass any courier parcel onto the NZ Post Rural Delivery system anyway. 

Tracking courier items
If your order has not arrived within 4 days, please contact us for a tracking number so you can speak with the relevant courier service or have us track your parcel for you.

Pickups
We do not allow for pick-ups due to the nature of our business and for the fact that we work from home with our young children.
